 ...SeniorFest

What a fun time! Decorations were great. Looked exactly like the fifties because I was there, too!!!  The Seniors really enjoyed themselves. The dinner was fun with Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, French Fries,Beans, Cole Slaw, and pea salad. The surprise dessert was Root Beer Float served by our own "Table Hops".

The Taps 'N Tunes did a great job. The dancers taped to music from the 30's, 40's and 50's.  Their end skit lead into our Veteran's program.  The ladies held a flag of each of the branches of service while we announced the following:
Longest Serving Veteran - Ed Markley served 33 yrs.
Eldest Veteran - Leslie Pugh - "92"
Woman Veteran - Rose Kellermen

Veteran of the Year - Irvin Bowling
Irvin couldn't be there because he fell Saturday and was in the hospital.  Duff and I went by today and gave him his flag. He was sooooo disappointed not to have been there because they have been to every SeniorFest for a quite a long time.

Then we announced . . .. because of their outfits . . .
Robbye Hux - Queen of the Sock Hop. She received a corsage.
Tom Colbert - King of the Sock Hop. He was given a pink carnation. They danced the first dance, then everyone joined in dancing the rest of the evening.
